Instructions for the preparation and submission of abstracts
CONTENT
Abstracts must be written in English. They must describe in a succinct manner the purposes and results of the research. Each abstract should contain:
a) an introductory sentence indicating the purposes of the study.
b) a brief description of pertinent experimental procedures.
c) a summary of the data.
d) a statement of conclusions.
Titles should be indicative of the content of the abstract. Avoid non standard abbreviations in abstract titles.
Abbreviations may be used in the body of an abstract if they are defined at their first mention in the text.
ABSTRACT LENGTH AND FORMAT
The combined length of the abstract body and title should not exceed 300 words.
Format is as follows:
Abstract title.
Authors (please underline the name of presenting author).
Body: Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
SUBMISSION
The accuracy of the submitted abstract is the responsibility of the authors. Abstracts will be published as submitted. They will not be corrected. Authors are requested to read abstracts carefully prior to submission.
Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail: v.villaluenga@beneandco.com before May 30th 2010. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.
CORRESPONDING AUTHOR INFORMATION
Corresponding authors must provide their name, institution, address, city, country, telephone and fax numbers as well as e-mail.
They should also mention if the abstract is for oral pesentation (proffered papers) or poster.
CONFIRMATION AND ACCEPTANCE
Confirmation of receipt, acceptance, provisional abstract number and all poster information will be sent to the corresponding author.
POSTER PRESENTATION
Posters will be presented in Digital Screens. A modern digital system with tactile screens that provides the continuous display of the posters as well as the individual view of the selected poster.
Once the abstract is accepted for poster presentation by the Scientific Committee, the corresponding author will receive notification of acceptance by e-mail, indicating a password to access the system. Very simple instructions for poster presentation in Power Point and poster submitting, will be provided.
